Each semester we organise a small weekend exchange between the IVSA teams of Slovenia, Austria and the Czech Republic. These allow us to get to know each other and to keep in touch with students from nearby faculties.
Each year we organise one group exchange with another faculty which usually lasts one week in each country.
2019/2020 -IVSA Zaragoza, Spain
2018/2019 - IVSA Alfort , France
2017/2018 - Cluj-Napoca, Romania
2016/2017- IVSA Wroclaw, Poland
2015/2016 - IVSA Liverpool , UK
2014/2015 -IVSA Brno, Czech Republic
Few times during the year we organise a bake sale and a pub quiz to help raise money for our chapter. Along with sweets we also sell drinks and set up a seating area with a projector so we can show movies or series (almost always we watch Friends) so our colleagues can sit, eat, hang out, play bord games and relax after or in between classes. Pub quizes are held also 2 or 3 times over the semester. We have them in the evening at our faculty during which we also sell drinks. Our members make the quiz and help with correcting the answers and also take part with their friends in teams. At the end we always have an award ceremony for the 3 best teams. Both are very popular with our colleagues.
Congress in Croatia
The 68th IVSA Congress was held in Zagreb from the 21st of July untill the 1st of August 2019. There were more than 140 delegates from over 32 different countries. During those 10 days we had GAs, lectures and workshops that were organised by our professors and guest lecturers from OIE and FECAVA. Delegates also got to explore different parts of Croatia with trips to Plitvice lakes, Risnjak national park, Karlovac, Đakovo, Varaždin, Krapina and enjoy themselves at all of the usual IVSA events we had at the congress (silent and live auctions, cultural evening, white T-shirt party,etc.). Post-congress lasted for 7 days and delegates got to see the beauty of Dalmatia, the city of Zadar,Nin, island of Pag and national parks Krka and Kornati. We are very proud of our OC team for taking this opportunity and organising a great event!
