In August, 2020, the students from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the University of São Paulo were approved as a new Member Organization (MO) within the International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA), since then the MO has been recognized as IVSA São Paulo – Brazil.

In 6 months as an official MO, the IVSA USP – São Paulo has played an important role in the IVSA Global, and more specifically within The Americas Region. The Americas Regional Team is composed by 6 members, being 3 of them from our MO: Gabriel de Assis Duarte (The Americas Recruitment Officer), Yuri Victor Calvo (The Americas Project Manager) and William Nunes Vilany (The Americas Committee Liaison).

Some members of IVSA USP – São Paulo have also integrated the committees as officials: Jade Li (Public Relation Coordinator and Social Media Manager of the Standing Committee on Career Attributes) and Arthur Cobayashi Guerra (Social Media Manager of the Standing Committee on Animal Welfare). Currently our MO includes almost 70 students, and despite the pandemic and the other external factors, the IVSA São Paulo – Brazil has proved to be an exponent group and improved our international integration with students from all around the world.

Our MO has also been select to host the 71th IVSA Congress in 2022. We are looking foward to welcome everyone here! CongressBR.png
