Where We Are

IVSAwhereweare.jpg

Our chapter is centered in China Agriculture University (CAU), situated in Beijing, the capital city of China. Beijing is the 3rd largest city in the world (yes, you heard that right!). It has 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites (including the famous Great Wall, Forbidden City, and Summer Palace), and is the hosting city of the 2008 Winter as well as the 2022 Winter and Summer Olympic Games.

Life here is quite precarious (in a good way). You get a taste of all the cuisines from around the world due to the rich cultural diversity you will find in this city, with historical Hu Tongs that will send you shivers of nostalgia and give you a glimpse of the lives of Chinese from older generations. If you are lucky enough to visit during any of the festive seasons, you will certainly find an exquisite collection of traditional Chinese art, festivals, and performances that will take place all over the city. As for those who are interested in a glamorous night life, Beijing will not disappoint you.

Group Exchanges

We would be honoured for any prospective students who are willing to join us here at CAU for individual and group exchanges.

In terms of veterinary skills, practices in traditional Chinese veterinary medicine (TCVM) and acupuncture are certainly our fortes that many other universities do not have. We will be able to offer TCVM and acupuncture courses to those who are interested in understanding this unique field of medicine.

And of course, we will take you around all the hotspots of the city for you to get the most out of it!

As we our a new MO, we have not yet organized any exchanges, but that will surely change soon!

Please keep in mind that Chinese (Mandarin) is the language used. Although this is the case, you will find that most students possess sufficient level of English to converse with!

Individual Exchanges

On top of the opportunities available mentioned above, you will find that we have more to offer!

As many of our members are from CAU's Stray Animal Care Association (SACA) along with our close relation with the representative of No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS), you can combine your efforts with ours in helping out the stray animals in the city as well as educating communities and children about animal welfare.

For those who may be interested in small animal practice in a clinical setting, our school is one of the largest clinics in China. We could certainly find a placement for you at our school's teaching clinic, or assigned to other clinics that you may find interest in.
